September Catch Up

Lots of fun times in the little npf household during September.

Our good friends the Kallioinens invited us over for a fantastic dinner early in the month. We love visiting with their family - not just because they are great people - but because their kids love playing with Noah! The kids all ate dinner and then settled in to the family room to play and watch a little Baby Einstein. While the kids were entertaining Noah - Neil, Sami, Minna and I had a quiet (wine filled) dinner and an ADULT conversation. It was a great evening. Thanks again, Kallioinens! It is our turn to host you!

Hilla with Noah as he sucks down his nightime bottle

We also took a family trip to the zoo (most likely one of our last this season). Noah loves giraffes or "affes" as he calls them. We had a nice afternoon visiting his favorite tall friends and watching the seals splash around.

Noah checking out the seals on his tippy, tippy toes (Excuse the shorts falling down. The kid is too skinny for every pair of shorts/pants he owns!)

The little man started a new schedule in September. We signed up for a few new activities and classes because - to be frank - Noah seemed pretty bored hanging around the house on most days. He is now a regular at library story time and the Crocker Park Barnes and Noble story time AND is attending Kindemusik and Little Gym classes. Whew! Makes me tired just thinking about it! He loves all of his new activities and the friends he is meeting there.

Although his social calendar is pretty full, Noah is still enjoying his time at home splitting days with Gram K, Miss Tracy and me. Art projects are "hot" again as the weather has been chilly and rainy - boo cold weather! Here are some great shots of Noah working on a fun sensory development art project with Miss Tracy:

The boy loves making a mess!

Yea! Partying like it's Noah's birthday!

There is contact paper under there... I think.

Also during the month of September, Neil made one of his regular visits to Asia. We never like to see him go, but his trips do give Noah and I plenty of QT time which we like to spend...

1. Catching up on our yoga

2. Playing with Tupperware

and...

3. Distracting Gram K from laundry with our muscles

Whew!! That should teach me not to get so far behind on the blog!! Still more to come from September as we took our first major roadtrip to Chicago... details to come in the next entry (hopefully soon!!!)
